The Competition Commission (CC) has provisionally cleared the acquisition of LINPAC Containers Ltd by DS Smith Plc. After examining the merger's likely effects on the market for the supply of corrugated cardboard sheet in particular, the CC has provisionally concluded that it will not lead to a substantial lessening of competition in this or associated markets.
