A12 (NORTH)  HOPTON ON SEA RESURFACING WORK

A scheme to replace the surface of the southbound carriageway on the A12 near Hopton on Sea on the Norfolk/Suffolk border is set to start on Thursday 8 April.  The work will be carried out overnight between 10pm and 6am on weekday nights only between Station Road roundabout and Bentley Drive (Tesco) roundabout.  The carriageway on Rackham’s Corner roundabout will also be resurfaced and will be closed to traffic while this is taking place. Traffic will be diverted via the B1375 Gorleston Road, Outen Road to the B1074 Somerleyton Road, Millenium Way and Bentley Drive then back to the A12.   There will be no access to the A12 from Stirrups Lane, Corton Long Lane and Blundeston Road. A 40pmh speed restriction will be in place with a 10mph speed restriction where convoy working is required
