PM in Scotland

The Prime Minister has visited a car factory in Glasgow as part of a tour of the region.

Gordon Brown met staff at Allied Vehicles and was shown some of the low-carbon vehicles designed and built by the company.

Earlier in the day, the PM joined Scotland Secretary Jim Murphy at a factory in Cowie, which is a leading manufacturer in wooden panels.

At the Norbond plant, where MDF panels are manufactured using a high percentage of recycled wood chips, the PM spoke to apprentices and staff members about their work.
