The Government plans to fully establish the Valuation Tribunal for England (VTE) on 1 October this year, as the single national tribunal for the hearing of appeals in relation to council tax and business rates in England. The VTE will take over the jurisdiction of the current 56 separately constituted valuation tribunals in England.
