The Office of the Schools Adjudicator has published a decision on an objection by Essex County Council to Davenant Foundation School's admission arrangements for 2008. The adjudicator, Richard Lindley, has upheld the objection, with the effect that the school will no longer be able to give priority to the children of staff employed at the school before 1st September 2004. He has made other changes to the admission arrangements, and has advised the governors to revise their criterion relating to church and synagogue attendance.
