What are the benefits of The Queen's Awards?

So why should a business apply for a Queen’s Award?

 The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise Emblem is a trusted mark that provides immediate and long-term business benefits. The use of the prestigious Queen’s Awards Emblem is a recognised Royal endorsement that will get your business noticed, above and beyond the competition, both at home and overseas.

Winning businesses are permitted to fly The Queen’s Awards flag at their main office, and use the esteemed Queen’s Awards for Enterprise emblem on products and stationery for the next 5 years.

Feedback from previous winners suggests that winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise can benefit businesses with;

excellent marketing opportunities and press cove rage;  worldwide recognition as an outstanding British company;  increased turnover and international trade  a boost to staff morale, and also to partners and stakeholders

 Interestingly, a recent research project investigating International Trade winners conducted by the University of Strathclyde, found that an overwhelming 73% of respondents that received an Award between 2012 and 2015 directly attribute increased international sales to winning a Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Opportunities may also arise for Queen’s Award winners, as exemplars in their field, to work with government by attending workshops and seminars or joining seminars to test and feedback on new policies and initiatives.

Even those companies who do not win a Queen’s Award on their first attempt can find it a valuable experience by giving them targets to achieve and an additional focus for which to optimise their efforts going forward.

Each winning company is formally presented with a Grant of Appointment scroll and a commemorative crystal bowl by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, The Queen’s personal representative, at their premises or other selected location at a time suitable to both.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise presentation ceremonies are a great way for the whole company to enjoy the celebrations and be recognised for their success. These ceremonies normally take place from around June on-wards but due to Covid, will take place later than this this year.

Two representatives of the winning organisations are also invited to attend a Buckingham Palace reception later in the year. Again, due to Covid, this is currently on hold.

We love to see and hear about how winners are celebrating their Award. This year saw some slightly different celebrations due to lockdown, such as staff sharing the news of their success over video calls, online parties, and even virtual afternoon teas!
