This year’s update from the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) includes information about the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) but also about our other schemes, in particular Countryside Stewardship (CS) and Environmental Stewardship (ES). RPA started to administer these schemes from 1 October 2018.
This update is the start of RPA communicating with customers across a wider range of agri-environment schemes.
Further updates which include deadline dates for our schemes will be provided soon.
Natural England advisers will continue to provide technical advice to customers with CS and ES agreements, and grant consent for the management of Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). Customers should continue to use existing local contacts and contact numbers for any queries about their CS or ES agreements.
