Transparency data: Insolvency practitioner sanctions: John Hansen 23 October 2017

The Insolvency Licensing Committee considered a monitoring report which evidenced breaches of the Statements of Insolvency Practice (SIPs) and of the Insolvency Licensing Regulations & Guidance, a regulatory penalty of £1,000 was offered in that John Hansen breached:

Insolvency Licensing Regulation 3.8 as an estimate of fees had not been provided to creditors as required by legislation, although no remuneration had been drawn by the Joint Administrators; Insolvency Licensing Regulation 3.10 in that the requirements SIPs had not been fully complied with, in particular insufficient information was provided to creditors; Insolvency Licensing Regulation 3.12 for failure to have adequate processes and procedures in place to comply with the Insolvency Licensing Regulations in relation to the conduct of insolvency work for which he is responsible.
