We’re simplifying how you contact us about some of our grants

We’re changing the way you contact us by email about some of our grants.

If you’ve emailed us at one of the addresses listed below, you should now use ruralpayments@defra.gov.uk

What you need to do

Remove the email addresses listed below from your safe sender list and do not use them to contact us in the future:

FTF@rpa.gov.uk   FRF@rpa.gov.uk   FETFQuotes@rpa.gov.uk   GSClaimSubmission@rpa.gov.uk   GSClaimQueries@rpa.gov.uk   FlytippingGrant@rpa.gov.uk

Why are we closing these email addresses?

We want to make it easier for customers to contact us through one email address.

What happens if I use the old email address in error?

If you use one of the old addresses by mistake don’t worry – we'll still receive it. We’ll send you an acknowledgement to confirm we’ve forwarded it to ruralpayments@defra.gov.uk.

Are there any other email addresses that the RPA will use?

If you’re successful in applying for a grant, we may arrange a meeting to discuss your agreement and support you to submit claims. We’ll send this invitation from grants@rpa.gov.uk

Do I need to take any other action?

When you email us, use an email address you have registered in Rural Payments service. Watch our video for instructions on how to update your email address: Rural Payments service: How to update and validate your email address - YouTube

Remember to add ruralpayments@defra.gov.uk and grants@rpa.gov.uk to your safe sender list so you don’t miss any of our emails.

Protect your personal data

To help protect your personal data, redact any sensitive information on all copies of your evidence before emailing it to us. This means covering your details with a solid black box or blurring the text, so it is unreadable.

Examples of sensitive information include your National Insurance number and most of your bank account details. Keep your name and the last four digits of your bank account number visible so we can identify you.
