The UK Space Agency has launched the Accelerating Investment Export Pathway, a new pilot programme designed to help early-stage space businesses prepare for international growth and become export-ready.
The UK’s space sector is thriving, generating £18.9 billion and supporting over 55,000 jobs. But for many early-stage businesses, breaking into international markets can be challenging. The Accelerating Investment Export Pathway aims to change that by helping high-potential UK space SMEs overcome barriers to international expansion and make the most of global opportunities.
Portia Bircher, Accelerating Business Growth Lead at the UK Space Agency, said:
“I am delighted to introduce this innovative pilot programme, created to support more UK space businesses as they expand internationally. Spaces on this programme are limited, and the application window is intentionally short to maximise delivery efficiency, so I encourage anyone interested to apply as soon as possible.
“By providing early-stage space companies with the skills and confidence they need, we are opening up fresh opportunities on the global stage. This support will help drive the growth and competitiveness of the UK space sector, ensuring a vibrant and sustainable future for the industry.”
