HM The Queen has appointed Carolyn Ann Fitzherbert Mellanby to be a District Judge (Magistrates' Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Jack Straw MP. The Right Honourable The Lord Judge, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales has assigned her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at courts in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire with effect from Tuesday 23 June 2009.
