The Queen has been pleased to approve that Sir Richard (John Pearson) Aikens be sworn of Her Majesty s most honourable Privy Council on his appointment as a Lord Justice of Appeal.

Richard Aikens: Born in 1948 and educated at Norwich School and St John s College, Cambridge. Called to the Bar, Middle Temple, 1973; Bencher, 1994; a Recorder, 1993-1999; a Judge of the High Court of Justice, Queen s Bench Division, since 1999; Judge in charge of the Commercial Court,2005-2006.
