Mohammed, R v [2007] EWCA Crim 2332 (16 October 2007)

These appeals against conviction, heard consecutively, raise interesting questions about the offence created by section 2(1) of the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc) Act 2004 (the 2004 Act), that is, failing to produce at an asylum interview an immigration document that is in force and that satisfactorily establishes the identity, nationality or citizenship of the applicant.
