Following a Whitehall-wide competition, John Kingman has been appointed Managing Director of the Treasury's Finance and Industry Directorate. Currently Director of the Treasury's Enterprise and Growth Unit, John will succeed James Sassoon following his appointment as the Chancellor's Representative for Promotion of the City. The appointment will take effect from 10 January.
