Allegations against ministers

The Committee on Standards in Public Life, which was established by the then Prime Minister in 1994, has no mandate to investigate allegations against individuals. The Committee does not comment on individual allegations and has no wish to do so. The Committee has however been interested for some time about the way in which allegations that Ministers' have conflicts of interest between their public and private life are investigated.
