Commentary and routine data reports on pertussis (whopping cough) vaccine coverage in pregnant women in England.

The government introduced the prenatal pertussis vaccination programme in 2012. In June 2014, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) considered available data and, based on the effectiveness and safety of the programme, advised it should continue for a further 5 years.
