Form: Form SSCS1: Appeal a social security benefits decision (Notice of appeal)

Updated: Add online link for ESA appeals.

Make a PIP appeal online

If you live in England or Wales you can appeal a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Employment Support Allowance (ESA) decision online. This means you do not have to post in an appeal form or your Mandatory Reconsideration Notice (MRN).

A PIP appeal is sometimes known as as a benefit appeal or a DWP appeal.

For decisions about child support or child maintenance, use Form SSCS2: Appeal a Child Maintenance Group decision by the DWP.

For appeals about recovery of compensation, use Form SSCS3: Notice of Appeal against a decision of the Department for Work and Pensions - Compensation Recovery Unit.
