National Statistics: Pensioners' incomes series: financial year 2016/17

Updated: Published revised versions of pensioners' incomes series report, data tables and background information and methodology. Changes include corrections to links and terminology.

This publication includes estimates and commentary on:

trends in pensioners’ incomes (split by different pensioner groups) sources of pensioners’ incomes distribution of pensioners’ incomes

Data is based on estimates from the Family Resources Survey for financial year 2016/17, in which approximately 19,000 households were interviewed.

We’ve also published data tables in ODS spreadsheet format and a background information and methodology report.
