Press release: Planned roadworks in Yorkshire and the Humber: summary for Monday 20 March to Sunday 26 March 2017

The following summary of planned new and ongoing road improvements over the coming week is correct as of Friday 17 March and could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. All our improvement work is carried out with the aim of causing as little disruption as possible.

M1 junction 32 Thurcroft to junction 35a Stocksbridge

The hard shoulder is currently closed in both directions between junctions 32 and 34 as part of the smart motorway scheme. The northbound exit slip road at junction 32 will be closed overnight on Monday 20 March. The northbound carriageway at junction 32 to junction 34 will be closed overnight for five nights from Wednesday 22 March. The M18 southbound link to the M1 northbound link will be closed overnight for five nights from Wednesday 22 March.

The southbound carriageway from junction 32 to junction 34 will be closed overnight for six nights from Tuesday 21 March. The southbound exit slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight on Monday 20 March. The southbound entry slip road at junction 33 will be closed overnight for six nights from Tuesday 21 March. The southbound entry slip road at junction 34 will be closed overnight for seven nights from Monday 20 March. The southbound entry slip road at junction 35a will be closed overnight for two nights from Thursday 23 March. There will be narrow lanes and a 50mph speed limit until the project is completed. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 24 Ainley Top

The eastbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight on Wednesday 22 March for electrical works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M62 junction 25 to junction 26 Chain bar

The westbound carriageway will be closed between the slip roads overnight on Wednesday 22 March for technology works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

M180 junction 3 to junction 2 Wadworth

The westbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for carriageway repairs from Monday 20 March the closures will take place between 9.30am and 3pm.

M18 junction 5 to M180 junction 1 Ings

The eastbound carriageway will be reduced to a single lane for five nights from Monday 20 March for bridge works. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am.

M621 junction 7 to junction 3 Holbeck

The anticlockwise carriageway will be fully closed overnight for five nights from Monday 20 March for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1M junction 36 Warmsworth

The southbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads overnight for five nights from Monday 20 March for barrier works. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1 Darrington

The northbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Monday 20 March for landscaping works. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1 Ferrybridge to Barnsdale Bar

The northbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 21 March for technology works. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A1 Ferrybridge to Barnsdale Bar

The southbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight for six nights from Tuesday 21 March for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am weekdays and between 9pm and 10am at weekends, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A63 Mount Pleasant

The eastbound exit slip road will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 21 March for routine works. The westbound entry slip road will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 21 March for routine works. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A63 Alexandra Dock

The westbound exit slip road will be fully closed overnight on Tuesday 21 March for routine works. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A64 Scagglethorpe to West Knapton

The carriageway will be fully closed overnight for seven nights from Monday 20 March for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am weeknights and between 8pm and 10am at weekends, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.

A64 Pickering Interchange

The eastbound carriageway will be fully closed between the slip roads overnight for five nights from Monday 20 March for carriageway repairs. The closures will take place between 9pm and 6am, and drivers will be able to follow clearly signed diversion routes.
