Form: Import and export: application for approved exporter status (C1454)

Updated: An online forms service is now available.

Exporters in the UK who frequently export goods direct from other Member States, but want to issue invoice declarations in the UK for them, should apply for a Single Community authorisation.

To complete the form you will need:

your Economic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) reference number. The number begins with 2 letters, followed by 12 to 15 numbers, for example GB123456789000

the commodity code for each of the goods you intend to export under preference

estimates of quantities and values of consignments to be exported each year

You’ll also need to send additional evidence to support your application.

You can either:

use the online form service (sign in to, or set up a Government Gateway account) fill in the form on-screen, print and post it to HMRC If you’re using the online form

You’ll need to send your supporting evidence separately, Send this by post to the address shown below. You’ll get a unique reference number once you’ve submitted the form. Include this number with any extra information you send.

You can track the progress of the form online using the same reference number.

If you’re sending the print and post form

Send your supporting evidence with your form to the address shown below.

You won’t be able to track the progress of a postal form.

You’ll need to fill in the form fully before you can print it. You can’t save a partly completed form so we suggest you gather all your information together before you begin to fill it in.
