Updated: Changed the definition of Income Support (Incapacity) expenditure for years 2000/01 to 2003/04 that is used in the GB Welfare table, Table 3a, and Incapacity Benefits table. Some figures in these tables have changed as a result. This doesn't have a material impact on the overall numbers, but gives better consistency across the different benefits in terms of where discontinuities in the series lie.
Outturn and forecast tablesThese tables are produced under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR). They reflect the government’s delivery plans, and the OBR’s additional judgments as set out in their economic and fiscal outlook.
