NOTICE: Supplementary measure of youth unemployment

From June 2012 onwards, our secondary analysis of ONS labour market data will contain a supplementary measure of youth unemployment, which focuses on 16-24 year olds who are not in full-time education.

The underlying data required to calculate this measure are available on a quarterly basis. In June 2012 the supplementary measure will cover the period Jan-Mar 2012, for which the headline unemployment data was released last month.

Further information on youth unemployment statistics is available in our FAQ section.
